Requirements

A more recent challenge included an elegant and modern restaurant with a stylish ambience which required a professional audio and lighting system for versatile stage and live events:

Located at the centre of Dubai, the PizzaExpress Live restaurant serves refined Italian cuisine every day together with unobtrusive and classy music from world-class musicians. Our partner company Levels FZ LLC from the UAE was invited to design, supply and install an audio and lighting system for a high-quality audio reproduction in versatile applications, e.g. for DJs as well as live performances and sports broadcasts.

Solution

The audio system consists of 17 speakers from MONACOR’s MOVE series: the professional PA speaker systems MOVE-08 and MOVE-12 perfectly meet the special requirements of the audio applications at PizzaExpress. In addition, 2 x MEGA-118SUB and 5 x EUL-2SUB/SW deliver a performance which perfectly matches the top parts of the MOVE series. The PA system is complemented by 5 professional stereo PA amplifiers STA-1000 as well as 1 x STA-3000 which definitely provide sufficient power for a high quality audio reproduction. Finally, the digital speaker management system DSM-260 is a reliable tool for configuration of the connected speakers and to allow a remote control via PC.

The lighting system consists of 8 x PARL-12RGBW LED spotlight from IMG STAGELINE with colour mixer/dimmer and stroboscope function via DMX interface. DMX control is done via the easy-to-use DMX-3216 with versatile programming facilities.
