With the DRM-44, MONACOR presents a powerful bidirectional analog/Dante® bridge that significantly simplifies the integration of analog audio equipment into IP-based networks. The compact device combines high-quality signal conversion, integrated DSP functionality, and flexible control options in a half-19" chassis and was specifically developed for professional installation environments where flexibility, audio quality, and easy commissioning are key priorities.
The DRM-44 features four balanced analog inputs and four balanced analog outputs, enabling seamless integration into Dante® and AES67-based networks. This makes the system particularly suitable for applications where traditional analog audio equipment needs to be connected to modern Audio-over-IP infrastructure. An integrated DSP provides extensive signal processing functions on all channels, including parametric equalizers, dynamics processing, and delay functions. This is complemented by an 8x8 audio matrix that allows for flexible routing and premixing between the inputs and outputs.
Special attention was paid to ease of use: Thanks to an integrated web server, the system can be fully configured and controlled via a web browser – regardless of the device used. This reduces installation effort and simplifies maintenance during operation. In addition to the integrated web control, the DRM-44 also offers advanced integration options: via GPI/GPO interfaces, the device can be integrated into higher-level control systems or linked to external signals, such as in building automation.
The combination of high audio quality (signal-to-noise ratio > 120 dB, THD < 0.003 %), flexible power delivery via PoE or a 24-V power supply, and a compact design makes the DRM-44 a versatile solution for a wide range of sound reinforcement applications – from conference rooms and restaurants to educational institutions and event venues. With the DRM-44, designers and system integrators gain a compact, high-performance analog/Dante® matrix that combines signal conversion, processing, and control in a single device, thereby significantly reducing the complexity of modern audio installations.
