Solution
The requirements for sound reinforcement at sports fields and soccer pitches are demanding: maximum range, good coverage, and consistently good sound to reach both the audience and the players—in the stands and on the field. It is important to clearly drown out the noise level of the enthusiastic audience at all times so that voice announcements and music can be heard precisely in the desired area.
At sporting events in particular, the high noise level of the audience poses a special challenge for the sound reinforcement technology used.
With the weatherproof SL-150WS/EN (150 W) loudspeaker boxes, the grandstand can be evenly covered with sound along its entire length. The IP66 and EN54-certified ELA loudspeakers are ideally suited for outdoor use and combine high sound quality, level stability, and operational readiness in all weather conditions. The built-in 20 cm coaxial loudspeaker (8") and 1-inch tweeter ensure powerful sound and optimal speech intelligibility across all seating areas.
IT-400TW horn loudspeakers are used on the playing field: for detailed speech and music reproduction, the 2-way music horns are equipped with a 6.5-inch cone low-midrange driver plus HF driver, which produces a broadband sound image with a clear fundamental tone.
For voice transmission, e.g., for moderating sporting events or for general visitor information, a UF-20R/5 radio system with a JSS-20/5 dynamic handheld transmitter is used. Combined with two passive UHF directional antennas, a significant increase in range for radio reception can be achieved.
Power is supplied to the connected loudspeakers via PA-1960 and PA-948S power amplifiers. A WAP-204RS internet radio receiver offers a wide range of playback options and features FM and DAB tuners, an MP3 player, and a Bluetooth interface.
